 ADFAC will be collecting school supplies for low income families from July 6th through August 10.   There is a list of supplies needed in the bulletin and on the bulletin board.  Monetary donations will be accepted through July 6th. 

Altar Flowers

With a donation of $40.00 flowers can be placed on the Altar in honor of your loved ones (living or deceased).    Orders need to be placed no later than Wednesday of the week that you want them for.  Can also take advance orders. Call the church office to make arrangements.

 

.   Fun Fair

Mark your calendars for the Fun Fair on Saturday September 12.  We need everyone’s help.  We need auction items, new or almost new, in good shape (clean and workable).  Check your attic, basement, or closet.   You may start bringing them in anytime now.  If you have any questions, please call the church office. 

 

Father John’s mother has been in the hospital.  Please keep her in your prayers for her recovery. 

 

Administration Building

We are trying to finish up the work in the basement of the Administration building by the beginning of September, in time for Religious Ed.   If anyone can come on Saturdays to help out please call the church office.  We also need people to prepare lunch for the workers.

DIOCESAN NEWS

 

Please join us for Diocesan Day 2009! Sat, 22 Aug at All Saints Church in Knoxville we will come together as a diocesan family with Bishop Stika and our special guest, Cardinal Justin Rigali.  A very special day! Cardinal Justin Rigali, as our keynote speaker and Homilist for Mass, will help develop our theme for the day, “You Have But One Teacher” (Matt 23:8). afternoon program will feature Bishop Stika who will have much of interest to share with us as this will be his first opportunity to speak to a diocesan audience since his ordination and installation.Doors open at 7:45 am and the event begins at 9:00 am with the keynote presentation followed by Mass and then lunch.Afternoon program  ends at 3:30 pm.Take Advantage of our “Early Bird” registration period:$20 until 19 July.After 19 July, registration will be $25.Student fee is $10.00.Lunch is included if registration is received prior to 17 Aug.Payments must accompany registration.Register:electronically:http://bit.ly/DiocesanDay2009 or by mail:  Questions :P lease do not hesitate to call 865-862-5753 or e-mail psimoneau@dioceseofknoxville.org.

 Columbus Home Group Home is in need of 7 adult-sized bicycles for its male clients.

 Summer items are needed for the boys and girls of the Columbus Homes programs. These items include but are not limited to hair brushes, body wash, deodorants and other hygiene products, and flip-flops. If you can help contact Angela Schoenrock at 323-2809 or angelamc@ccetn.org.
