Rummage Sale

Mark your calendars:  CCW will be holding a rummage sale on May 8th & 9th.  Please start gathering your items, you may start bringing them in after this Sunday.   Help is needed to sort on Thursday, May 7th and both days of  the sale. 

 Belk Charity Sale Coupons

Please buy a ticket for Belk’s Charity Sale to be held on Saturday, May 2nd to help out our Religious Ed program.  Tickets cost $5.00 each. 

 Healing Mass

 Fr. Bill Kiel will be doing a Healing Mass at St. Therese at 7 PM on May 5th.  He’ll also be at Holy Trinity in Jefferson City at 9 AM and 7 PM on May 6th.

 

First Communion

CONGRATULATIONS  to John David Carter, Katie Chambers, Chase Lockard, and James Mai for making their First Communion this Sunday, April 26th. 

 

Altar Flowers

With a donation of $40.00 flowers can be placed on the Altar in honor of your loved ones (living or deceased).    Orders need to be placed no later than Wednesday of the week that you want them for.  Can also take advance orders. 

 If you have flowers in your garden that you wish to have put on the altar, please call the office by Wednesday of that week to make arrangements.

 Food collection volunteers are needed to assist Catholic Charities staff working with its Greater Knoxville area shelter and food pantry programs. Call 865-524-9896 if you or your group can help.

 Join Vol basketball legend Dane Bradshaw and hundreds of others on Sunday, May 3, for Catholic Charities’ 11th Annual Kids Helping Kids Walk to benefit its Columbus Home Children’s Services. Now a huge event that features food and fun for kids of all ages, the Kids Walk this year features terrific team and individual fund-raising prizes! For information and registration visit ccetn.org.

 The Procession of Healing, national event held by people who believeeveryone has a right to life and everyone can be forgiven. It’s a funeral procession to mourn the precious people we’ve lost to abortion since the decision of Roe vs. Wade. It’s also a time where mothers and fathers can come and mourn a decision they now regret.  Takes place on  Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 9 a.m.. Bridges Refugee Services have 12 families arriving within the next 10 days.   They are in desperate need of mattresses, box springs, bed frames, kitchen tables and chairs, sofas, chairs, dressers, bookcases, lamps, dishes, pots and pans, bedding, towels, shower curtains, pillows, end tables, coffee tables, mirrors, hangers, cribs, bunk beds, car seats, strollers, play pens, diapers, small appliances, and so much more. These families are fleeing persecution in their homelands and are victims of violence, trauma, torture, and war.  They are hoping for a new and free life in America.
