We will be having a Mardi Gras Dance on February 20, 8:00pm. All ages are welcome to come. Anyone under 21 must have a parent or guardian attend with them. Cost $5.00 per adult, children free. Bring your own bottle, and bring finger food to share. Gumbo will be provided. Casual Dress. Music by D.J. Jason Weaver.
The Cajun Dance lessons continue this week. If you would like to learn Cajun Dancing, please JOIN THE FUN on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Feel free to come even if you haven’t come to the other lessons.
A family member of one of our Parishioner is in need of a kidney transplant. Anyone who has type B blood type who would be willing to donate a kidney, please see Sister Yvette.
Greeting Card Recycling St. Jude’s Ranch for Children rescues abused, abandoned and neglected children of all races and faiths from the vicious cycle of child abuse. They provide healing and nurturing in a safe home-like environment where children can learn life skills to start new lives. We are supporting this work with the recycled card program. On Saturday afternoon, February 7, 2009 the Office of Family Life and Adult Christian Living will sponsor a couples’ enrichment opportunity for both married AND dating couples at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Parish Life Center in Chattanooga. This couples’ retreat, “God’s Divine Affirming Love”, will be presented by Jim and Joy Pinto. Jim is a Pastoral Associate with Priests for Life.He and Joy have been married for 29 years; and are blessed with four children and seven grandchildren. The program will begin with at 12:00 pm with a luncheon and conclude at 4:00 pm.Cost is $30, includes lunch. The Annual Luck of the Irish Party to benefit Project Graduation for the Knoxville Catholic High School Class of 2009 will be Saturday, February 7 from 7pm, to 11pm at the Knoxville Catholic High School Gym.
