The Sunday night Bible Study will not meet for the next week.  Classes will begin again on January 4th. 

 

Tuesday morning Bible Study will not meet this Tuesday. Classes will resume on January 6th.

Reminder:  CCW still has cookbooks on sale.  If you have not bought one yet, they have some good recipes to use over the holidays and other times

 

 

   Please note:  Starting the first of the year all names currently on the prayer list will be removed.  From then on the names will stay on for a month unless you notify the office otherwise.  

 

Don’t forget to recycle your used Christmas gift wrap.  Gift wrap that is made of paper only, not foil or cloth, can be recycled in our mixed paper bin. 

 

There is a basket on the kitchen counter to collect the front only of Christmas cards to be sent to a boy’s camp to recycle.

Catholic Charities needs volunteer facilitators for its Parenting Education Seminars, offered through its Parent Place supervised visitation program. Facilitators should have a minimum of one year of college, with a college degree preferred. Seminars are once a week for four weeks, three hours per session. Times may be determined according to facilitator’s availability and preference. Interested volunteers should contact Parent Place at 865-971-3570.

Food collection volunteers are needed to assist Catholic Charities staff working with its Greater Knoxville area shelter and food pantry programs. Volunteers should be able to lift 60 lbs. and available on Mondays, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Contact Jackie Owen at 865-524-9896 if you or your group can help.

 

The Pregnancy Help Center is in need of a Spanish speaking volunteer to answer the phone and work with clients one day per week.can make a tremendous difference in assisting in outreach to the Hispanic community.For more information, please contact Sandi Davidson at (865)251-0488 or (865)776-4510.

 

On Saturday February 7, 2009 the Office of Family Life and Adult Christian Living will sponsor a couples’ enrichment opportunity for both married AND dating couples at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Parish Life Center in Chattanooga. This couples’ retreat, “God’s Divine Affirming Love”, will be presented by Jim and Joy Pinto. Jim is a Pastoral Associate with Priests for Life.
